When hide was in primary school,he was overweight (80kg)!!..no kidding..he was often teased
by his classmates causing him to rarely mix with others.So,hide's parents exposed hide to several exposures such as piano
and calligraphy.They even tried to give hide a better perspective of thinking by sending him to America for a month or
so in primary 4.However,he rarely enjoyed his childhood life. He started to like heavy metal music when he was in lower secondary
when he listened to KISS(a band).When he was in upper secondary,he bought his first guitar~a
Gibson and so,he was nicknamed Gibson at that time.He had a band during secondary school.named Saver Tiger..but there
were arguements n several disagreements and so it was abolished.After finishing secondary school,he enrolled in a costume
school.He was about to graduate when he received a phone call from Yoshiki(leader of X japan) to
join x japan.And so he did it! (in 1987)
Since then,the band was sailing to the top of the charts (Honestly u'd need to listen to X-japan's
music..i'll never bore u and u'd certainly wanna hear it over and over again!)Hide was the Guitarist in x-japan.Some
of x-japan's most memorable songs were: Drain,Tears,Crucify My Love,Say Anything,Standing Sex and so on...(the
list goes on forever) Oh yea,Forever Love.hide was the bad boy in x japan but he's the calm-kind-of-bad-boy coz he's
the one who always advises Yoshiki from the do's to dont's. After x-japan was eliminated,he joined Spread Beaver..and created
several albums and songs with them. Leaving Spread Beaver,he joined Zilch-an American based band. He has several solo projects
such as "hide your face".

There was a rumour saying that hide and Yoshiki were planning to reform a new x-japan.But their dreams were dashed to
pieces when hide was found in the midst of mid-death,hanging to a towel on the doorknob of his apartment..he died on the way
to the hospital. Earlier that night,he gulped down a load of beer and was drunk.His went home at 6.30 but was found unconcious
by his girlfriend at 7am.his death was filed as suicide case.This statement was unbearable n unbelievable to his friends,family
members and friends as he was planning to start a new x japan..there were assumptions saying that his death is an accidental
death(guitarists have to bear the load of guitars thus,causing them to hang their necks as a theraphy
to prevent neck cramps).hide falls drunk real often and broke parts of his anatomy(he broke his
skull before). hide once visited a patient sufferring from Peripheral Nerve Regenerative Disorder and registered himself
as a bone marrow donor to the patient. He was an idol to musicians and fans-well,a total idol.

On the day of his funeral,a whole crowd of fans covered the temple where the funeral was held.Some tried to commit suicide
and one of them died.An accident even occurred right there, sacrifising two lives. Yoshiki took a flight back from Los Angeles
to attend this funeral. He tried to hold back his tears when he made his speech at the funeral to those present there. Since
after his death,there's a hide museum in Yokosuka(since July 1998).

~Yoshiki(former x-japan leader)'s speech~
I'm very shocked to hear about his death. I still can't believe what has happened.
Right now, he's sleeping with a beautiful face. I tried to wake him up many times, but he's still sleeping.
Between the five of us, hide
was the one who kept his calm and thought out things. Even though I was the leader, he was the calm one who gave me good advice
when I was being short tempered and emotional. Of course with all that pressure, he too almost lost his identity. But during
those hard times, he'd always give me a call. We would talk about X, music, friends, life, fans, almost anything. He
was like a big brother to me and sometimes like a young brother too. We'd drink together and sometimes fight. But the
next day, he'd come to me and say, "Yoshiki, have I done something last night? I'm sorry, I don't remember a thing."
But this time, he didn't say anything back to me... sleeping.
To all fans and friends,
you must all be confused. I also cannot express this sadness in words, but we must understand and accept this painful reality.
Everyone please watch over his eternal sleep warmly.

- Yoshiki -
Yoshiki was wiping his tears with a white handkerchief when he read out his speech from
a piece of paper. His hands was shaking as he held on to the paper. He read this out in front of the temple on May 7th
during hide's funeral.
